Game Recap

Scottsdale Christian JV baseball took care of business, on Thursday afternoon, against Fountain Hills High School. The Eagles’ strong pitching continued with Bennet Reimers, Jacob Peterson and Devin McClay combining to give up only four hits and no earned runs on the day en route to a 9-1 victory. On the offensive side of things, the Eagles had it going right out of the gate with Ryan Salmon hitting a lead-off triple and promptly being plated by a Devin McCLay single. They would have a 3 run first frame and that would be all they needed, but it didn’t stop there. Jacob Peterson was on fire, going 3 for 4 with two triples, a double and three RBIs. Sage Moffet and Reed Moses were also solid contributors with two hits apiece with Moses recording two RBIs. The Eagles have quite a break before they play Bourgade Catholic on April 22nd.

Game Recap

The Eagles shot out of the gate by scoring 4 in the first inning. That proved to be all the runs SCAwould need even though they tacked on 2 more as the game went on. Devon McClay pitched 4 1/3 solid innings while Ben Meyerson and Bennet Reimers combined to close out the game. Tanner Gibson had the hot bat for SCA, recording two hits and two RBIs. Game Recap

The baseballs were flying around the yard on Monday as the SCA Eagles and Valley Christian High school Trojans combined for more than 30 hits. Even though the score was 18-13 in favor of the Eagles, it doesn’t tell the whole story. In actuality, the Eagles scored 20 runs and the Trojans scored 15, but due lack of daylight, the game ended before the conclusion of the seventh inning, which reverted the score back to the end of the sixth. Pitching and defense were a bit lacking but the Eagles came to hit with several of the boys recording multiple knocks. Tanner Gibson went 3 for 3 with a long line drive double to the wall and Sage Moffet had a solid game where every ball he hit was a hard line drive. The Eagles are back in action at noon on Saturday, April 1st at SCA, piggy backing the varsity game which starts at 10:30.
