SCA hosted a very solid Phoenix Country Day Varsity golf team at Orange Tree Golf Resort on Monday evening. PCD came away with the victory while SCA Freshman, Caleb Brown, shot a season best 41.

SCA heads down to Whirlwind at Wild Horse Pass on Wednesday. Go Eagles!

The JV2 Eagles were clicking on all cylinders offensively with a strong 46-14 blowout win over Christ’s Greenfield. Leading a well balanced effort was Josiah Hearn with 9 points. Connor Bynum scored 8 points including two 3 pointers and Joshua Steffen hit 2 shots from behind the 3 point line as well. In all, 11 different players scored for the Eagles in what was their most complete game so far this season.

The JV2 Eagles regrouped from their previous loss to Joy Christian by defeating Horizon Honors 31-22. Josiah Baum had a solid game with 5 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals, Jack Verbarg led the way defensively with 4 steals and Josiah Hearn added 10 points and 3 steals.

The JV2 Eagles lost a tough one to rival Joy Christian 35-32. Down 14 points with less then 5 minutes to play the Eagles went on an offensive tear led by Josiah Hearn’s 18 points. Kevin Joyce came off the bench and provided clutch offensive rebounding to go along with his 5 points, while Josiah Baum was the 2nd leading scorer with 6 points.
