The SCA boys JV baseball team mounted a major comeback to pull off the win in a rain shortened contest at Scottsdale Christian field on Monday. After struggling on the mound in the first inning and finding themselves in an 8-0 hole going into the third inning, The Eagles fought back to score 6 runs in the third and 4 runs in the fourth respectively to finish with the walk off 10-9 win. Josiah Baum came in from the bullpen after the first to settle things down and pitch consistently for the rest of the contest. The hero of the game offensively was Chris Romeo who came to the plate with two outs in the final inning, men on 2nd and 3rd, with a two run deficit. Chris hit a double into right-center which scored both runners. On the first pitch to the next batter (Connor Troxell) Chris took third on a ball in the dirt. When the opposing catcher attempted to throw him out the ball sailed into left field, scoring Romeo for the decisive run. Continuing with the hot bats were Will Chambers, who was 2 for 3 with a double, 2 runs and an RBI, and Mitchell Hallett, who was 2 for 3 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI.
