Scottsdale Christian Volleyball team played Parker tonight and came away with a 3-0 victory. It was a great team win lead by a strong .532 hitting percentage, consistent serving with 93% serving percentage and 9 team aces and steady defense with 37 team digs and a passing rating of 1.68.

Freshman Marley Dickerson and Sophomore Kylie Lynne stepped up and played a different position to help the team while Freshman RS Laylah Daniels recovers from an injury. Dickerson had a hitting percentage of 1.00 with 3 kills and Lynne had a hitting percentage of .500 with 3 kills.

Senior OH Lauren Ohlinger lead the team with 19 kills and a hitting percentage of .680. Ohlinger also had a team high 12 digs and team high 3 serving aces. Junior OH Taylor Raiola had a hitting percentage of .522 and had 13 kills. Junior Middle Caroline Montgomery was dominant up front with 2 blocks, 4 kills and a hitting percentage of .364. Freshman Setter Lexi Lambert had 25 assists on the night.

The Player of the Game was Sophomore Middle, Sophia Wadsworth who lead the team with consistent serving and strong defense up front. Wadsworth had 2 blocks, 4 kills and 1 serving aces. Wadsworth also had a hitting percentage of .375.

The Varsity girls travel to Payson on Thursday, September 13th for a 5:30pm match against Payson High School. Looking ahead, the girls play at Trivium Prep on Monday, September 17th at 6:00pm and are also participating in the prestigious Nike Tournament of Champions on September 21st and 22nd. Go Eagles!
