Scottsdale Christian Girls Volleyball traveled to Payson to face off against an undefeated Payson High School and defeated them in 3 straight sets. The win over Payson (3A) gave SCA three wins this week and boosted their record to 12-1 for the season.
The win was highlighted by the teams excellent serving and serve receive. The team made 93% of their serves, had 7 aces and a serve receive rating of 2.36. SCA also hit a .361 and had 33 digs on the night.
Sophomore Middle, Sophia Wadsworth lead the way up front with a .625 hitting percentage that lead to 6 kills. Junior OH, Taylor Raiola hit .385 and had 13 kills. Senior OH, Lauren Ohlinger hit .286 with 10 kills. Ohlinger also had 4 serving aces on the night.
The Player of the Match was Freshman Setter, Lexi Lambert. Lambert’s night consisted of 25 assists, 3 serving aces and a 1.00 hitting percentage.
The Eagles are back in action on Monday night, September 17th at 6pm as they travel to Trivium Prep Academy in Goodyear. Go Eagles!
