Scottsdale Christian Academy opened up with a win in the first home game of the season against Horizon Honors tonight, 3-0. The best fan section in the State came through tonight hyping up the girls and creating a lot of noise for the opposing team!

Overall the team had a hitting percentage of .342. The team also had a total of 11 aces and 36 digs for the night.

Senior Libero, Emma Whitehead played incredible defense tonight and finished the night with 7 digs. Whitehead also had 3 aces. Junior OH, Taylor Raiola had 15 kills with a .370 hitting percentage. Raiola also had 8 digs to go along with her hitting stats. Freshman Setter, Lexi Lambert had 25 assists on the night, as well as 7 digs and 3 aces.

The Player of the Game belonged to Senior OH, Lauren Ohlinger, who lead the team with a .600 hitting percentage and 13 kills on the night. Ohlinger also had 6 digs and 1 ace on the night.

Up next for the Scottsdale Christian Academy Girls Varsity Volleyball team is a home game on Wednesday, September 12th at 6:00pm against Parker. It will be a Hawaiian Theme so make sure you wear your grass skirts and flowered shirts! It will be amazing!
